RADOSGW feature requires FCGI which no longer has an upstream source
Added by Roy Keene almost 8 years ago.
Updated almost 7 years ago.
Description
RADOSGW of Ceph v10.2.2 relies on FCGI, but the upstream source for this no longer actually exists.
Confirmed, the latest fcgi upstream URLs are completely gone.
http://fastcgi.com/dist/fcgi-2.4.0.tar.gz is that last URL where the tarball was available, and it is currently a 404. http://www.fastcgi.com/ is a placeholder page, nothing to do with the libfcgi project.
From what Matt's told me, the RGW team intends to remove libfcgi entirely from Ceph before the Luminous release.
- Tracker changed from Support to Tasks
- Project changed from Ceph to rgw
- Assignee set to Matt Benjamin
- Priority changed from Low to Normal
- Target version set to v12.1.0
- Release deleted (
jewel)
- Affected Versions v12.1.0 added
- Affected Versions deleted (
v10.2.2)
After talking today with Matt Benjamin, it's not clear whether we want to completely take out fcgi for the Luminous release -- we will confirm at the next RGW meeting; some people may want it to stay in.
However, it sounds like turning fcgi off as a default should be easy and shouldn't present a problem.
- Status changed from New to Fix Under Review
