Bug #11345
closedFirefly-Giant not getting installed on CentOS7
0%
Description
Kindly check this email thread https://www.mail-archive.com/ceph-users@lists.ceph.com/msg18681.html
I have been struggling to install Ceph on CentOS7.0 and CentOS7.1
Please see the Full logs here http://paste.ubuntu.com/10771358/
While installing yum searches for correct Ceph repository but it founds 3 versions of python-ceph under http://ceph.com/rpm-giant/el7/x86_64/
How can i instruct yum to install latest version of ceph from giant repository ?? FYI i have this setting already
[root@rgw-node1 yum.repos.d]# cat /etc/yum/pluginconf.d/priorities.conf
[main]
enabled = 1
check_obsoletes = 1
[root@rgw-node1 yum.repos.d]#
This issue can be easily reproduced, just now i tried on a fresh server centos 7.0.1406 but it still fails.
- cat /etc/redhat-release
CentOS Linux release 7.0.1406 (Core) # - uname -r
3.10.0-123.20.1.el7.x86_64 #
Long term and a Clean fix is required

Short Term fix is to add "exclude=python-rados python-rbd" under epel.repo and that should do the magic.

- Priority changed from Immediate to Normal
- Backport deleted (
firefly,giant)
