Updated almost 11 years ago.
Description
make 'ceph-deploy update' either git pull or download and install the latest version of ceph-deploy. this will make it trivial for ceph-deploy users to always pull down the latest ceph-deploy smarts. should be part of the initial version so that subsequent updates/upgrades are easy.
Is this intended to be used instead of packages?
No, it will just upgrade the package for you in a super easy way. If debian, it'll run apt-get update and apt-get install ceph-deploy; on rh machines, it'll do whatever the yum incantations are.

I have a start which installs based on the currently-configured repos (of which, at the moment,
none actually contain ceph-deploy). Asking Sage about the plan for deployment, and whether
we should assume that ceph-deploy is available from the configured Ceph repo, or try to
ferret it out of somewhere else.
- % Done changed from 0 to 80
Gary's put a test repo up, and I've fleshed out the code to handle adding that if necessary, and it
seems to be working OK. Need to find out about rpm version, and move to final signed repo locations
when we have a chance to move them.
- Status changed from In Progress to Rejected
