Description
Apparently the OSD translates a read error response of ENODEV into ENOENT and returns that to the client. That response to a write causes the OSD to suicide. See: http://permalink.gmane.org/gmane.comp.file-systems.ceph.user/3925

do you have a log? i see no instance of ENODEV in the code..

This was a mailing list report about when the OSD gets back ENODEV from the underlying filesystem.
