Implement a radosgw command in ceph-deploy
Added by Alfredo Deza over 10 years ago.
Updated almost 10 years ago.
Description
As a proof of concept, to see if ansible could work for ceph-deploy remote commands, implement a radosgw deployment with Ansible's Python API.
- Tracker changed from Bug to Feature
- Subject changed from Implement a radosgw command in ceph-deploy with ansible to Implement a radosgw command in ceph-deploy
ceph-deploy should be able to install/deploy radosgw to a remote host
- Status changed from New to Rejected
It is not feasible to do this anymore. Most (if not all) of the rados gateway install would be at the most a single line to install
while leaving all the complexity to the actual package (and the package manager to handle).
Ansible has a nice license for plugins but not for using its API directly with Python, so that would force a change in the
licensing of ceph-deploy.
