Description of problem¶

If you visit the ceph dashboard of an inactive ceph mgr instance the mgr will redirect you to the active dashboard. Unfortunately the dashboard redirects to an ip address instead of a dns name, this results in a certifacte error when using SSL.

Environment¶

• ceph version string: 16.2.9
• Platform (OS/distro/release): Oracle Linux 8
• Cluster details (nodes, monitors, OSDs): 3 mgrs daemons
• Did it happen on a stable environment or after a migration/upgrade?: redirect is broken after updating from nautilus to pacific

How reproducible¶

Steps:
1. have ssl enabled on the ceph dashboard
2. go to inactive mgr instance

Additional info¶

The dashboard service is also registered via ip address in `ceph mgr service` in nautilus it was registered with the dns name.
