npm fails on alpine linux trying to install fsevents

Description

With Ceph 16.2.5 npm installed fine, but now if fails with:
https://gitlab.alpinelinux.org/a16bitsysop/aports/-/jobs/479540#L1906

It is trying to install fsevents even though it is a Darwin dep, if the

-f
flag is used it installs regardless (using patches from cmake node_modules cleanup):
https://gitlab.alpinelinux.org/a16bitsysop/aports/-/jobs/478874#L2010

npm has recently been upgrade from 7.12/13 to npm 7.2x which might have caused this behaviour:

While running with --resolve-parent, the script "backport-create-issue" noticed that all backports of this issue are in status "Resolved" or "Rejected".
