Description
To find out if a file was a osdmap i tried:
root@node12:/srv/ceph/osd.11/current/meta# osdmaptool --print inc_osdmap.286_0 osdmaptool: osdmap file 'inc_osdmap.286_0' terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::bad_alloc' what(): std::bad_alloc Aborted root@node12:/srv/ceph/osd.11/current/meta#
I soon found out that it was no osdmap, but the osdmaptool should not crash, but print some sort of nice message.
