Bug #2176
closeddependencies not checked by autoconf
0%
Description
I recently resurrected a build of the user-mode and kernel clients on CentOS and found that I was missing a few packages, the need for which was not detected by autoconf:
libaio-devel
fcgi-devel
expat-devel
libcurl-devel

Gary, want to quickly check if configure.ac is checking these things and see if this is still a problem? IIRC Mark saw this on a centos box, so you can also just verify that configure fails with useful error messages for missing libraries on a vanilla install.

I think we have picked up some, but not all of these. I'll double check with a freshly installed system.

All these are listed as build requirements for the rpm and debian packages. I'll add the missing ones to configure.ac.

We've got all the current dependencies in the configure.ac checks and in the rpm or debian requirements.
