Description

This suddenly cropped up while testing my solution to 188 for no apparent reason, and now I can't get rid of it no matter which commits I revert or put back.
I can successfully "sudo mkdir mnt/a", but on "sudo mkdir mnt/a/b" it hangs, apparently after the MDS revokes an exclusive file capability. Cluster or not doesn't seem to matter; figure out what's going on.

I think I missed when diagnosing this one; looks like it was an error in my patch that I didn't actually compile out of the executables.
