Description

The metadata state consists of:

1. current state of the initiating process
- init
- building special index for full metadata sync
- sync started

2. per shard marker (kept on per shard object?)
- type of sync: full / incremental
- position (full = position in index + origin state when indexes created, incremental = position in mdlog)
