Description

https://ceph.com/docs/master/radosgw/config/ states:

"On CentOS/RHEL distributions, turn off print continue. If you have it set to true, you may encounter problems with PUT operations."

However, per: http://ceph.com/docs/master/install/install-ceph-gateway/#id2

print-continue works fine if the custom rgw RPM pacakges are installed. In fact, if the custom RPM packages are installed per the second link, RGW fails completely when print-continue is disabled. print-continue MUST be on or RGW fails to put. This documentation error cost me a day of work.

To fix, i suggest updating the sentence ""On CentOS/RHEL distributions, turn off print continue. Ifyou have it set to true, you may encounter problems with PUT operations."
To read:
"On CentOS/RHEL distributions, turn off print continue unless you have installed the custom ceph apache and fastcgi packages. If
you have it set to true, you may encounter problems with PUT operations without the custom packages."

This bug has been judged too old to fix. This is because either it is either 1) raised against a version of Ceph prior to Luminous, or 2) just really old, and untouched for so long that it is unlikely nowadays to represent a live documentation concern.

If you think that the closing of this bug is an error, raise another bug of a similar kind. If you think that the matter requires urgent attention, please let Zac Dover know at .
