Description
in order to add an iscsi daemon as a gateway, the iscsi-gateway.cfg must be identical (other than a few specific fields). Users, if they want to expand their iscsi service, will often add new ips to the trusted ip list. In this case, they may not be able to add the new iscsi daemons as gateways from their original iscsi instances as the new daemons will have a more updated trusted ip list while the older ones will have the old list of trusted ips. Redeploying/reconfiguring the iscsi daemons fixes this, but cephadm should be able to solve this on its own. The error you get when trying to add new gateways when this difference in the iscsi-gateway.cfg exists looks like
/iscsi-target...-igw/gateways> create vm-02 192.168.122.58 Adding gateway, sync'ing 0 disk(s) and 1 client(s) Failed : /etc/ceph/iscsi-gateway.cfg on vm-02 does not match the local version. Correct and retry request
