Description

Since cephadm arrival, the Grafana Dashboards became embedded in the Grafana container instead of being installed during the install process (e.g: Ceph-Ansible).

This has the main downside that for each change in the Grafana dashboards, it involves a new Grafana image build, which is an overkill. There should be a better way of making the Grafana dashbaords available to Grafana from the packages (ceph-dashboard-grafana.rpm):
  • via provisining API (the old Ceph-ansible way)
  • via mount (.../provisioning)
  • ...?
