Futher testing result for the issue "ceph: avoid 32-bit page index overflow"
We raised an issue in the following ticket and the ticket has been resolved
We are using 64 bit Ubuntu server OS for Cluster and 32 bit Ubuntu desktop OS for Client. Ceph file system is mounted in /mnt/ceph. Now we can able to read big files from 32 bit Kernel Client. So I confirmed the reported issue is resolved in kernel 3.6.6.
But Unfortunately , we are facing some file corruption issue in very random. We have attached our cluster ceph.conf,ceph log files, test result files and some screen shots of ceph kernel testing for your reference.
We have enabled debug modes = 20 debug ms = 1 in ceph.conf. We have tested Ceph cluster via files generated using DD and Large video files.
We created 4 different size files using DD and calculated md5sum. The ddtest result file contains test results of ceph cluster with DD and md5sum. We didn't get any file corruption on using DD and md5sum. We have tested nearly ten times with the DD and md5sum configuration.
But in Contrast, when we used big video files and md5sum ,the files were corrupted in very random and the test result is stored in the attached mxfmd5sumtest result file. The attached screen shot refers the video and md5sum error. we attached mds log file through some third party hosting tool, since the size of the file is more than 300 MB.
