Description

The AWS SDKv3 appears to support only AWS4 hashing / authorisation which means that any third-party libraries built on top of that SDK will be unable to authenticate to radosgw, rendering third-party applications unable to use radosgw.

Would it be possible to have this form of hashing added to radowgw, please? The AWS documentation (http://docs.aws.amazon.com/general/latest/gr/sigv4_signing.html) provides a high-level overview of the process, and detailed instructions on AWS4 hashing.

Apologies if this already exists in recent versions of radosgw, I've only got Hammer locally to test on.

AWS4 auth support shipped with Ceph Jewel. The Jewel's release notes are available at

http://ceph.com/releases/v10-2-0-jewel-released/

These notes also highlight the changes from Hammer and Infernalis.
