The master builds were broken a few days ago. Although it was broken only during two or three hours, could it be the cause for this failure ?
Updated by Ken Dreyer almost 9 years ago
The problem is that there is no "http://gitbuilder.ceph.redhat.com/ceph-rpm-rhel7_1-x86_64-basic/" location. Do we even have a RHEL 7.1 gitbuilder? I thought not?

- ceph-qa-suite upgrade/client-upgrade added
Seeing also in hammer v0.94.2 run

Ken, I don't know why RHEL 7.1 is there. This suite does not have disros refs

If no specific distro is asked for, the job takes what it can get.
Updated by Zack Cerza almost 9 years ago
... so we either need a 7.1 gitbuilder, or to keep such jobs from running on RHEL 7.1
Updated by Yuri Weinstein almost 9 years ago
Note to self: several RHEL 7.1 machines were released to the lab pool, but no ceph packages were built for it and therefore tests failed.

- Subject changed from Missing package to Need a RHEL 7.1 gitbuilder

Do we really? Stretched thinner and thinner; should we be trying to test upstream on our primary downstream release vehicle?
Updated by Zack Cerza almost 9 years ago
Well, maybe not; I don't define (or fully understand) our upstream testing strategy. What I do know is that Sage released several 7.1 machines into a lab where both up- and downstream testing happens. Lots of jobs picked them up since they didn't care which distro they ran on, and chaos ensued.

Yep, my bad. We need centos7.1 builders, at least. Don't care about rhel vs centos, although it makes it harder to test any upstream package in octo if the 7.1 machines are there and there is no builder...
I need a 7.1 os in order to test the downstream kernel. That's how this started...
