some bucket index entries, such as multipart parts or delete markers, may get filtered out during bucket listings. in the presence of skipped entries, radosgw will continue to fetch more entries until it has enough to return to the client. in extreme cases, radosgw may loop for a long time without finding valid entries. this can lead clients to time out and send retries, while the previous requests continue trying to list more entries
