Description

1. Sometimes ceph -s shows:
HEALTH_WARN: Telemetry requires re-opt-in

I do not know what is "opt in". What should I do ? I guess I need on it and off again.

2. According to docs:
https://docs.ceph.com/docs/master/mgr/telemetry/
I can just on it. But trying this requires to specify license.
Where to get list of available licenses ?

For both points, documentation should be fixed.

Hi Марк,

Thanks for reporting this.

The telemetry module sends anonymous data about the cluster back to the Ceph developers to help understand how Ceph is used and what problems users may be experiencing. The data is sent only if you allow it, or in other words opt-in. Your cluster probably runs a newer version of telemetry which requires you to opt-in again.
Telemetry data is licensed under the Community Data License Agreement - Sharing - Version 1.0 (https://cdla.io/sharing-1-0/). Hence, telemetry module can be enabled only after you add '--license sharing-1-0' to the 'ceph telemetry on' command.

We updated the docs as well (https://github.com/ceph/ceph/pull/33113).
