Hi Daniel,
If you only need VPN access, what sort of system resources will you need access to? Usually VPN-only access is reserved for short-term access where SSH access is limited to a small subset of machines and/or for a limited amount of time.

You should be all set with VPN access. Daniel should be able to copy your pubkey to the machines you need access to.
