Current architecture:
Assumption: mon id is always chef nodename (= short hostname)
Assumption: only one mon per host (for each cluster)
admin specifies in Chef environment:
1. ids (short hostnames) of mon initial members (#2418) (if not set, go haphazard)
2. cluster uuid
3. mon. key
- Chef role ceph-mon writes ceph.conf with the above.
- If no "done" flag yet, bootstrap an empty-monmap ceph-mon with the right uuid and mon. key, start it.
- On boot, upstart job ceph-mon-all starts all mons found in /var/lib/ceph/mon (that are "done").
- Chef run will do a search for role=mon, feed ip addresses of results as peer hints (#2419)
