Documentation #13893
closedManual Deployment Documentation Bugs (systemd)

Description
On the manual deployment page: http://docs.ceph.com/docs/v9.0.2/install/manual-deployment/
The page is not written with systemd in mind. The instructions still show to start ceph via systemV init scripts which no longer exist.
Also, it says to touch a sysvinit file, but now with systemd I don't think that is correct. Is it systemd? done?...
Not sure if this is a documentation problem or a mistake in implementation, but on the same page when the directions say to do "ceph osd lspools", there are supposed to be 3 pools, but only the rbd pool is auto-created.

This bug has been judged too old to fix. This is because either it is either 1) raised against a version of Ceph prior to Luminous, or 2) just really old, and untouched for so long that it is unlikely nowadays to represent a live documentation concern.
If you think that the closing of this bug is an error, raise another bug of a similar kind. If you think that the matter requires urgent attention, please let Zac Dover know at zac.dover@gmail.com.
