http://gitbuilder.sepia.ceph.com/gitbuilder-ceph-tarball-precise-amd64-basic/log.cgi?log=4d58c07490a1714fa65c8a79cb14248d74a81d88 is 12MB big which makes it impractical to look at in a web browser because it takes a long time to load. This is because automake on precise does not nicely capture the output of each test in a separate log file. It looks like a significant portion of this output comes from the rbd tests. It would be nice if there was a way to reduce the default verbosity without compromising the ability to diagnose a problem based on the output.

it will be resolved as part of http://tracker.ceph.com/issues/11931 by enabling parallel test on automake 1.11 (it's not the default) to create separate log files
