Description

Some bugs might create a situation where the metadata/journal may be okay but recovery fails because one of the global objects has become inconsistent. Provide ability to manually edit it to fix it up.

Actions #1

  • Category changed from 66 to fsck/damage handling

John, do you think we're done with this based on the table reset commands, or is there more to usefully do?

Actions #2

Updated by John Spray almost 8 years ago

  • Subject changed from InoTable/SessionMap/ manipulator to InoTable/SessionMap/ manipulator (cephfs-table-tool)
  • Status changed from New to Resolved

So cephfs-table-tool has resetting tables, and it has consuming inodes from InoTable.

There probably are more things it could usefully do, but this ticket doesn't point any of them out so I'll close it.
