Tests have been run on both Openstack with and without Ceph. Openstack was installed, using devstack, on a burnupi machine, and a 3 node Ceph cluster was brought up on vms. The gist of the instructions on
http://ceph.com/docs/master/rbd/rbd-openstack/ were run to install Ceph. The test run was
/opt/stack/tempest/tools/with_venv.sh nosetests -sv tempest
An installation of Grizzly stable/grizzly for tempest (separate from Openstack) was needed to get this to work. Also, libmysqlclient-dev and libpq-dev needed to be installed.
The starting and stopping of the tasks was performed using the screen -r command (since devstack was used). The nova restart needed a sudo added in order to get this to work.
At this point, I still need to compare the outputs of the two runs to determine if the behavior is the same.

It appears that all but a few cases that pass running openstack on local devs also pass running on ceph. Ceph appears to pass a few tests that fail on local devs.
There are a set of tempest tests that, for reasons unknown to me, do not run when using ceph. I will report these as a separate bug.
