We do a lot of stuff async with our journal, stray inodes, etc, that we need a good way to test. Let this ticket serve as an umbrella for keeping track of them until we can devote real effort.
I am in particular prompted by wanting to check that purging inodes worked properly with https://github.com/ceph/ceph/pull/708; in this case a special admin op that will synchronously purge a given ino and then return to the caller would suffice.
