Description

These are the logical scenarios where we should issue a warning so that a user can fix any potential mon issues:

  • When the monitor does not initially exist in the monmap (or has just been started for the first time without a predefined --monmap or 'monmap' option on the conf)
and: public_addr is blank && the monmap generated on start (from ceph.conf) does not contain the monitor.
  • If public_addr is not defined, that at least public_network is, and if both are not, that the monitor addr is on the mon_host list or defined on ceph.conf
