closedDefault site in Apache interferes with Gateway

We have found that sometimes Apache installs with an active default site. While this default site is active, the gateway returns 50x errors.
It might be helpful to point this out in the documentation.
a2dissite is the preferred method under Ubuntu.

Not sure why this was opened. It has actually been in the documentation for quite some time.
