Description
progress indicators disappear¶
When for example a OSD is removed/added, a progress indicator is visible with 'ceph -s'.
When an active manager is stopped/crashes, and another manager becomes the active, the progress is not shown anymore.
Not sure how long this issue exists.
Environment¶
- @ceph 15.2.13
- Platform (OS/distro/release): Ubuntu 18.04.05 LTS / CEPH dockerized
- Cluster details (nodes, monitors, OSDs): 3 MGR's configured
How reproducible¶
- Set an OSD to 'out', observe the progress created
- Stop the active manager
- Start another, or the same manager
- Progress is gone, whilst rebalance/recovery is still ongoing
Expected results¶
Expect to see the progress, which manager in the cluster is active. Keep the state.
