cephfs-mirror could use this to read the changes to entire subtrees (not just a single directory) given a snapshot.

Hey Zheng,

CephFS snapshot mirror would make use of rctime approach. That needs PR https://github.com/ceph/ceph/pull/32126 for recursive accounting fixes.

This tracker is an alternate approach to the above, right? Or, are you proposing that we do not make use to recursive stats and implement changes mentioned in this tracker?
