Description
Monitoring components are tied to the Ceph version released.
For instance, on Ceph Nautilus, Grafana 5 is supported and there are no plans that Grafana 6 will ever be supported for Ceph Nautilus. For Octopus, it currently is Grafana 6, for Pacific, it maybe Grafana 7 (which was recently released).
The supported versions of monitoring components are part of the cephadm release and can be used to upgrade the monitoring components properly, though, currently the only way to do that is manually by issuing "ceph orch redeploy <component>".
It seems to be a good idea to upgrade monitoring components alongside a usual Ceph upgrade which is started by issuing `ceph orch upgrade <ceph_version>`.
