Description

Description of problem:

ceph-mon binary won't launch or perform any command

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
ceph-14.2.2
ceph-14.2.3
ceph-14.2.4

How reproducible:

always - hardware dependent

Steps to Reproduce:
1. ceph-mon --help (or any other cli command/option to it)

Actual results:
binary terminated with SIGILL Illegal instruction (core dumped) and link time

Expected results:
help is printed to terminal or command performed

Additional info:
CPU - AMD Phenom(tm) II X6 1090T Processor
NIC - ASUS XG-C100C (Aquantia AQC107 NBase-T/IEEE 802.3bz)

Offending method signature is in ceph-14.2.3/src/spdk/dpdk/lib/librte_ethdev/rte_ethdev.c:3226:RTE_INIT(eth_dev_init_cb_lists)

Mitigation

Rebuild from source or srpm with cmake configuration flag '-DWITH_SPDK=OFF'
