Backport #42029
closedbackport endianness fixes to nautilus
Description
Recently there was a series of patches submitted fixing endianness issues that were merged in master, we need to get a backport of those to nautilus. The author of the code will be submitting PR's to backport the fixes, this ticket is to register that the work is needed.

If you're backporting just to nautilus, and no further, no tracker is needed. Just open a PR with the cherry-picks.
And, by the way, use git cherry-pick -x ;-)

Thanks Nathan. I did not know that this ticket was optional. I would like to keep this ticket in order to track all the work that we're going to do.
