rbd cp command reports 100% completion even on failure

ceph version 0.56-109-gd8940d1 (d8940d15c330d05c8a198ff7dde16df748938b65)

when trying to copy rbd image to an already existing image, it reports error, which is expected but it is confusing to see "Image copy: 100% complete...done" reported as well.

ubuntu@burnupi08:~$ sudo rbd cp test_img test_img1
Image copy: 100% complete...done.
librbd: rbd image test_img1 already exists
librbd: header creation failed
rbd: copy failed: (17) File exists
