@Prashant - if I cherry-pick this one commit into the PR for backport issue #24545 I can avoid a merge conflict, so I'll do so and close https://github.com/ceph/ceph/pull/22768

Feel free to do the same thing to my PRs :-) Given a choice between doing two backports separately with conflicts and together without, the latter route is always preferable.
