I've spent the last couple of days working on this. The btime piece happens to be pretty simple, but it shares a feature bit with the addr2 feature, which (subtly) changes the encoding of entity_addr_t's in the protocol. addr2 seems to be undocumented for the most part, so I'm having to attempt to reverse engineer the userland code, and that is proving difficult, especially since there are significant differences between the kernel and the userland code here.
