Description

When the default messenger changed from simple to async, this test started failing1. It's because it is using the process's thread count as a proxy for the number of open connections, when testing that connections are closed when expected.

NB back out part of https://github.com/ceph/ceph-qa-suite/pull/1054 when fixing this, it's switched back to simple messenger for the moment.
