Description

One of the current slow points for the rbd-mirror daemon is when attempting to bootstrap hundreds of images concurrently. Since each image bootstrap requires creating a temporary sync-point snapshot, this operation turns into a large sequential bottleneck within the application. Bootstrapping 500 empty images takes ~20 minutes with most time spent waiting for the creation of a snapshot id or the removal of one.
