there are informations in pad.ceph.com that I need to implement key management in ceph-disk. If it's gone that's not a catastrophy, I'll figure it out.

I've installed the package needed to prevent apache from crashing and will look into finding a new home for the services on this host.

re-opening to keep track of the frequency of the problem

This (second) outage was due to Dreamhost moving the Etherpad service to another server.

The A record for pad.ceph.com just needed to be updated to the new IP: 75.119.214.31
