Description
The spec file contains lots of code catering to older distros that, according to this comment1, are no longer supported on infernalis and above.
Just like we do not check the version number of %fedora, we can assume that rhel will always be at least 7 and suse_version will not be lower than 1210.

Agreed with Sage that, while this cleanup is desirable and necessary, it may make life difficult for folks who might be trying to build infernalis, jewel, etc. on older distros.
