Description
- try to lock state object
- if cannot lock, wait, retry
- read state, if already 'building indexes', try to remove all existing indexes
- set state to 'building indexes'
- fetch remote list of metadata sections
- for each section, iterate through metadata entries (start from user, then bucket instance, then bucket, then other sections if exist)
- for each entry fetched, store it in a sharded omap, hashed by the same hash used to determin metadata shard
- lock state object periodically, until done
