Description
While we inject metadata with the first backtrace we see (in order to enable parallelism), we may later see more up to date linkage information for ancestors (at any depth in the trace). Currently we ignore it: instead, we could save these backtraces in xattrs on the immediate parent of where the backtrace was seen.
This would be advisory information for the benefit of the forward scrub, who could use it to apply the latest/most accurate linkage during a subsequent pass.
