Description

Once the git-plugin issue https://issues.jenkins-ci.org/browse/JENKINS-14276 has been fixed, it will be possible to configure a job to allow the user to set the branch name parameter. As of now, it is only possible if the script interprets a parameter given via the environment variables. This is kind of confusing because the logs of the job will show a branch / commit that is different from the one actually used by the script.
