Redmine Dashboard - Cleanup #50341 (Resolved): mgr/dashboard: typo: "Filesystems" to "File Systems"https://tracker.ceph.com/issues/503412021-04-13T16:23:01ZErnesto PuertaDashboard - Tasks #50340 (New): mgr/dashboard: CephFShttps://tracker.ceph.com/issues/503402021-04-13T16:22:18ZErnesto PuertaDashboard - Feature #50336 (Resolved): mgr/dashboard: "Create Cluster" workflowhttps://tracker.ceph.com/issues/503362021-04-13T14:42:50ZErnesto Puerta

After bootstrapping with cephadm, the dashboard should give users the chance to start a Wizard-like workflow to complete the cluster creation (mainly adding hosts, services and OSDs).

A design was proposed by Yuval: https://marvelapp.com/prototype/5ed82bc/screen/73191921
Dashboard - Tasks #50335 (New): mgr/dashboard: Workflowshttps://tracker.ceph.com/issues/503352021-04-13T14:39:50ZErnesto PuertaDashboard - Feature #50334 (New): mgr/dashboard: cephfs-top and fsstats modulehttps://tracker.ceph.com/issues/503342021-04-13T14:22:28ZErnesto Puerta

Same as for rbd-stats module and rbd-top-like Grafana dashboard (the one showing resource usage per RBD image), this would bring the equivalent CephFS functionality. We need to ensure that the fsstats metrics are stored in Prometheus (currently not) in the same way as rbd-stats are persisted via Prometheus exporter.
Dashboard - Feature #50333 (New): mgr/dashboard: CephFS mirroringhttps://tracker.ceph.com/issues/503332021-04-13T14:20:02ZErnesto Puerta

Same as already done with RBD mirroring but for CephFS mirroring.

This depends on https://tracker.ceph.com/issues/47261
Dashboard - Feature #50332 (New): mgr/dashboard: CephFS volumes, subvolume and subvolume groupshttps://tracker.ceph.com/issues/503322021-04-13T14:18:47ZErnesto Puerta

Dashboard - Cleanup #50330 (New): mgr/dashboard: rearrange RGW realms, zones, etc.https://tracker.ceph.com/issues/503302021-04-13T14:04:37ZErnesto Puerta

Replace "Object Gateway" menu with just "Object" [sage] or "Object storage"[Matt]

Change "selected object gateway" to "realm" [Sage]
* Display daemons, users, buckets by realm, not daemon (caveat: not all zones in a realm will belong to the same cluster)

Dashboard - Cleanup #50329 (New): mgr/dashboard: provide URL to RGW daemonhttps://tracker.ceph.com/issues/503292021-04-13T14:02:00ZErnesto Puerta

In order to make easier to consume the URL of an RGW daemon, it would be desirable to provide the URL of the daemon together with a copy-to-clibboard for direct usage.
Dashboard - Feature #50325 (New): mgr/dashboard: add bucket notificationshttps://tracker.ceph.com/issues/503252021-04-13T12:00:59ZErnesto Puerta

Dashboard - Feature #50324 (New): mgr/dashboard: RGW server-side encryptionhttps://tracker.ceph.com/issues/503242021-04-13T11:54:56ZErnesto Puerta

Implement keyserver-based encryption (Hashicorp Vault, Barbican?):

RGW: https://docs.ceph.com/en/latest/radosgw/encryption/

Vault: https://medium.com/hashicorp-engineering/secure-your-kubernetes-storage-with-rook-and-hashicorp-vault-eca064845650

Dashboard - Cleanup #50323 (New): mgr/dashboard: refactor service tablehttps://tracker.ceph.com/issues/503232021-04-13T11:44:39ZErnesto Puerta

Current status:

We should add the following improvements:

Display the Ceph version (in the Ceph containers)

Join the placement and size column (same info) in a single one.

Replace the "Running" column with a more informative version: "1/1 up" or "100% up" and use colored labels for that (green, yellow, red).

Dashboard - Feature #50318 (Resolved): mgr/dashboard: when adding host, allow to specify network ...https://tracker.ceph.com/issues/503182021-04-13T11:26:36ZErnesto Puerta

When adding host, allow to specify network address, as the hostname might not be reachable or defined enough (FQDN).
Dashboard - Cleanup #50314 (Resolved): mgr/dashboard: rename "inventory" to "disks"https://tracker.ceph.com/issues/503142021-04-13T10:32:08ZErnesto Puerta
Inventory is a pretty ambiguous term (Ansible's inventory). It should be clear what that section is about:

Disks (Sage suggested "Physical disks" but we could shorten that a bit).

Storage (or Storage Devices, as storage devices are no longer disk-shaped)
