Description

Hi,

I'm following the install guide, and when I do the following command in the client:

sudo rbd map foo --pool rbd --name client.admin

The client crash, in console 0 the message in the image attached is given, then i have to reboot

tux@adminnode:~/cluster$ ceph --version
ceph version 0.80.1 (a38fe1169b6d2ac98b427334c12d7cf81f809b74)

FWIW, I'm pretty sure this is a known bug in kernels ~3.5, which manifests as a crash on 'rbd map' if the kernel misses required feature bits.

OK, I'm going to assume this was indeed the missing features handling bug. I looked into it, it was introduced in 3.6 and fixed in 3.8. At this point nobody is collecting stable patches for 3.6 or 3.7, so just closing.
