Description

An upstream Rook user has reported an issue with the output of `ceph-volume inventory --format json /dev/sda2` when the system is detecting ATARI partitions. The command hangs and does not complete. This causes Rook to break on Ubuntu (and more) nodes.

It's possible this was introduced by one of these patches:
- https://github.com/ceph/ceph/pull/46766/files
- https://github.com/ceph/ceph/pull/48037/files

I'm not sure if this is related to the regression being fixed here, or if there are is more that needs fixed: https://github.com/ceph/ceph/pull/54514

This issue is seen in Ceph v17.2.6
