Description

In the recent versions of SUSE (openSUSE, SLE) that stable, non-EOLed versions of Ceph are targeting, the python3 RPM contains a superset of the functionality that is needed by Ceph components that need a Python 3 interpreter. And the same goes for Python 2 if that is used.

Not so simple. In all likelihood, the SUSE Ceph build really does require the full python3 RPM and in any case it does no harm.
