What's the end-goal here? The issue is that in your example, those all query status via the monitor. We really don't want to create an rbd-mirror datastore within the MON.

Thanks, Jason for the feedback. Actually motive is to identify how many rbd-mirrors are running in this clusters and what it the state of these daemons because ceph status does not cover it and adding more detail to ceph status, will make ceph status bulky as discussed here: https://tracker.ceph.com/issues/24217.

"ceph status" already lists which rbd-mirror daemons are running. There is no notion of persistent rbd-mirror daemons since they are stateless (unlike MONs, OSDs, and MDSs). What exactly are you trying to extract in terms of "rbd-mirror" status from a dedicated command?
