For very large multipart uploads, other zones have to wait for the multipart complete before they can start syncing the object. If they were able to start sync on each part as it finished, that would reduce the sync latency and get some concurrency from the parts. In the case of zone failover, it could potentially allow the client to complete an upload on another zone.
