Description
We do not test this and enabling it is no longer possible. However, we still repeatedly get requests for byte-range locking from HPC so it may be useful. Instead of adding a (new) open flag, perhaps we could add a vxattr for a file to enable it automatically (and overridden by O_SYNC).
